R&R

Their love of songwriting combined with a twist of storytelling led bandmates Rich Standeven and Rick Martin ( R&R ) to combine their lyrical and melodic inspirations. Through this collaboration, R&R produced Forgotten Fields, which is the title of their first long-play album of original songs.

R&R invites listeners on a musical journey winding through dreams, reality, darkness, light, despair, hope, memories, love, and paradise. Many of these songs began as handwritten stories or poems and as they developed, melodies were added to bring them to "musical life". 

The vision of Forgotten Fields came from a poem Rick penned about vivid childhood memories and the security of playing in the fields on a sunny day with friends and family. "The Fields seem so small in distant dreams I now recall". The Forgotten Fields LP contains all original lyrics and music and was independently recorded and produced by R&R. All instruments and vocals are performed by R&R with harmony vocals by Emily Ferguson and Rebecca Bertrand. 

Playing in various bands and performing on stages in Dallas Texas, Palm Springs CA, San Francisco, and many others influenced this original sound that includes a blend of Rock, Folk, and Pop styles. We hope that listeners find a connection with their memories, life experiences, and emotions and the lyrics and melodies of Forgotten Fields
